Vista 64-bit upgrade from Retail 32-bit.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...a/default.mspx
There is a small shipping charge. It might be variable based on what version of 32-bit you own - so I'll let other people figure it out.
"Congratulations on upgrading to Windows Vista. The retail package product ships on DVD with 32-bit edition software, but two forms of alternate media are available to help meet your specific requirements:
32-bit CD
If your system features a CD drive but no DVD drive, you can order Windows Vista on CD-ROM. The installation files span multiple discs, so unattended installations are not possible.
64-bit DVD
If your system features a 64-bit processor, you can take advantage of its advanced design by ordering 64-bit software media. You'll get the same interface, features, and functions, but you'll get them in an operating system that takes advantage of access to vastly more memory. All installation files are on a single disc. Please note that 64-bit media is included in the box with the purchase of Windows Vista Ultimate."

Anyone running the 64 bit? Is it worth it? Any problems with other software/programs/drivers, etc?

Worked fine on my gateway mx7520 a64 laptop. WinXP64 also worked well. My laptop is 64 bit but has older single core cpu- it is FAR more responsive when i have multiple apps running and i start jumping between applications, especially between different windows in explorer
you wont see much of a benefit in specific applications unless they are 64 bit, but every 32 bit app i tried works fine cause they are backwords compatible, like office, photoshop 7, battlefield 2142 etc
if you have a more recent machine, especially a dual core based system, you should probably be able to find 64 bit drivers, if not from your computer manufacturer, then from the actual part manufacturer

I wish that Apple would release 64-bit drivers for 64-bit Vista. They need to get with the program.
