Welcome to the wonderful world of Nvidia and their high quality Vista drivers. [sarcasm].
Have a look around here,

or even Google the error message and you will find it is a fairly common problem. About the only thing you can do is wait for Nvidia to get their thumbs out and release a decent set of drivers for Vista.

I've had this a few times. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the drivers or just something bad happened with the game causing the display drivers to crash. Normally, I think WinXP would give a BSOD but Vista can recover and reinitialize the display drivers.

Yea I figured as much, alot of the times it is because I alt tab out of the game to multi task... other times it just happens. It is an older game (medal of honor).
Oh well, to be expected I suppose
