I just received my vitamix 6300 red in color. Looks kinda new but like there are some minor cosmetic scratches on paint etc. How is everyone's condition of their vitamix? Also does it look new and is it the same model 6300 with the tall container? Does the lid on top clicks when you try to force it ? mine doesn't seem so.

The Vitamix will be a significantly better blender, but you do have to be able to justify the cost. If you got 7 years out your kitchenaid, odds are you weren't using it often or only had it working under "light duty". If you were happy with your old blender, maybe stick with a similar replacement. My last blender was a kitchenaid as well that I bought as a refurb. I too was happy with it's smoothie performance except that it would chew through the rubber coupler 3-5 times a year. I had it for 5+ years and at $5ish per coupler, the cost added up and I decided the warranty alone on the Blendtec/Vitamix was enough for me to reach deep into my wallet. I had both for a few days to compare and ended up returning the Vitamix, but mostly because of the cost savings and the the extra 1 year warranty of the Blendtec rather than the performance (although I did think the Blendtec performed slightly better in this department as well).

Something else to consider as well - many people (almost everyone) have a hard time with the price tag before buying a big name blender, but I don't hear or read many comments about people wishing they had bought a cheaper blender instead after deciding to buy the Vitamix or Blendtec.
Decided to bite the bullet and ordered it last night. Still a little worried about how loud it might be in the condo but I figured I can try it for the 30 days and if it's really a problem I can return it.

The code worked for me last night but it looks like the black colour is out of stock now. I ordered Red.

stolen? or stolen card you think? what was the reason to sell it for below the cost of the unit if it was fully brand new?

She told me that it was a gift. If you search in kijiji there are few more units available below actual cost. There isn't a big market for new / used vitamix, making it easier to negotiate.

Edit: there are some hoarders who are selling their unopened units years after buying it. Vitamix gives warranty based on approx purchase/ manufactured date. So, make sure you verify warranty before buying it.
