Faxing works just fine for me. Make sure you are using the G.711 codec and that you've set the following settings on your fax machine:
1) Set the lowest speed possible - on my machine this required turning V.34 OFF.
2) Turn OFF error correction.
3) Set the transmission quality to "standard".

For best results you need an ATA with T38 support, like the Linksys SPA3102.
Network Jitter Level – Very High
Jitter Buffer Adjustment – Disable
PreferredCodec to G711u
Set “Silence Suppression Enable” to No
FAX Enable T38 is set to Yes
“Echo Canc Enable” should be set to No
“Fax Passthru Method” to REINVITES.

Hello guys, I have been using voip.ms for the past year and I am really pleased with the service and the savings.
I recently picked up a Brother all-in-one multifunction inkjet printer. I set it up earlier tonight and everything is working fine, except for the fax through voip.ms
What I did was to simply hook up the telephone line from the printer to the Linksys PAP2T, powered it off then powered it on again.
I proceeded to send 1 fax to various numbers but the printer kept dialing and finally gave up. The Transmission Verification Report stated the result is *busy*
I then attempted to follow the guide here http://www.voipmechanic.com/voip-fax...gs-linksys.htm to change some settings.
Here's a screenshot for Line 2, can you guys tell me if that is perfectly OK for fax or if I need to do something else to make it working. Thank you.

I tried that but it's still not working, Jac. Thanks for the link though.
I will try to send a fax to my residence from work today and see if I could receive something at home.
I don't know if it makes any difference but this is a wireless printer e.g. I do not connect it to the desktop via USB.
Guess this is something I will work on this weekend lol, I know fax through VoIP is flaky and the PAP2T is not an ideal ATA for fax but if it works for others (albeit sparingly), it should work for me._______________

I was able to send a fax by registering Line 2 e.g make sure it has the same username and points to the same server as Line 1.
I will try to send a fax from the office on Monday. Curious to check out the quality when I get back to work.
Wasn't too hard after all..._______________

Guys, just wondering if you order a separate DID and use it for fax and keep the main DID for phone and voice mail?
I was not able to receive fax at home and after some troubleshooting, I realized I needed to register Line 2 and make sure it will ring the same time as Line 1 which is associated with voice mail.
I wonder what happens when somebody calls, will the fax kick in or will the voice mail kick in? I don't send and receive faxes a lot so I would hate to miss out on important voice mails.
Maybe I should keep it simple and get another DID, what do you guys think?_______________
