That's right. 170HP vs 150.

Newbie
noticed a chip in the paint on my hood yesterday...probably from a rock or something. Does anyone know what I can do to touch it up? this is a united grey metallic 2012 vw golf. It isn't a large chip, about 0.5 cm diam, maybe a tad more...
any ideas?

Question for Alex: 2012 Tiguan $1500 dealer cash: does it mean that you get $1500 discount if buying cash? Can it be combined with 0.9% financing?
Also wonder when we might see 2013 model and what change we may expect, e.g., diesel engine and/or slightly larger trunk?
Thanks

Can't have both, cash or 0.9%. No changes for 2013, it just went through that. This is a totally redesigned model.

unlike honda, VW understates their engine output. the 150 is giving closer to 170 since it's the same engine for the most part.

Thanks, Alex. Just to make sure I understand correctly, no change for 2013 but why you said a "totally redesigned model" ? Do you mean 2012 just had a redesign and 2013 will be the same ?

Hey Alex
If you don't mind me asking I have been considering buying the CC for a long time - but could you tell me why do I not see many of these on the roads - is there a problem that I do not know about?

price
there is a lot of choice at the $40k mark.
a lot of people cheap out and get the Passat over the CC because it's cheaper and still a Passat. imo VW should've named the CC something else other than a Passat derivative, even though technically that's what it sort of is.

We already are. We no longer refer to it as a Passat CC, only as a CC.
