Scheduled for this fall as a 2018 model, made in Mexico with a sunroof.
Awesome. My R's resale value should increase very nicely when these come out. Not that I am looking to sell, but good news either way.

Tons of 17 R's are on dealers lots. Unfortunately these will not increase in value. On the other hand, 2017 Subaru STI residuals just jumped 1 point from last month and that's what I'm getting.

What's "jump" mean? Went up? Not likely, what about the % rate?

Will there still be 2017s around in October / November? I have no interest in being the victim of VWs initial run of the R in Mexico and my current lease is not up until then.

I really wouldn't be worried about it. That plant has been around forever and by that time will have been building AWD MQB cars for over a year. My Mexican built '15 GTI has been nearly flawless over 63k.

Went and played on Subaru site. The STI lease rates are 0.9% up to 39 months and 1.9 for 48. Don't know what they were last month. Can easily lease a base STI for under $500 all in, in a GST only province it appears.

Is this confirmed? Any other news regarding the facelift like LED taillights and 7 spd DSG?
We're supposed to get both of those, and more.

Rates and RV change every two months or so. Lower RV and lower rates to compensate. The goal is to keep similar payments throughout the model year.

Come on Alex :) Residuals went up from previous month which is in our advantage. Same low rate as well so the payment went down.

With 1.9% lease for 48 month/20K per year I'm able to get STI SportTech for 251 tax in bi-weekly with $2900 total on delivery.

I'm not debating here, I'm simply saying that rarely RV get lower and not higher because every month that goes by vehicles depreciate and get older.

The 2018 Golf R will be facelifted but still built in Wolfsburg. There will be no sunroof. There will be LED tails.

2018 SportWagen 4Motion and Alltrack will have a 6-speed manual. All trims.

2017 e-Golf will be out in June.

New type LED tail or the existing LED style?
