the pitcher for $15 is a good deal, the filter 3-pack not so great.
I usually spend no more than $4 per filter. Last time I got these at Costco on sale for $20 for a pack of 5!

Last year around this time, it was on sale at $6.49+tax for a 2-pack. So if you use that as a yardstick, a fair price would be about ?$3.5 each this year

Do you guys think $5/ea before tax is a good price for the filters? I can't remember seeing this cheap in Montreal for a long while. I can't remember how much I got my last deal for.

$5 sounds like a regular price, if it's urgent buy. But if you are just looking for stocking some reserves, then wait.

What's a better alternative to Brita?

Apparently the chemical company CLOROX owns Brita. Not a hot deal at all. What do they know about filtered water?

The next logical question is where in Montreal would one get that?
You'll probably have to buy online from an internet seller, google for it. Some local stores may carry it, check their website as well.
