About average pricing, maybe a little better with the 7700H and the PCIe SSD. Warm.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

The Walmart one says 15.6" UHD screen (3840 x 2160). Is this right? Is this even an option?

I see the $2375.99 one on Lenovo is only FHD.

Good catch. I just placed a note in the original post to note this may be an error.

I looked into it a bit more, I think it exists, just not shown on the Lenovo site.

And an old RFD deal for the same laptop from TigerDirect.

Edit: Seems like a good deal, but are returns accepted as a clearance item? I'm reading conflicting information since the webpage says 14 day returns allowed.

Really tempted as i am in market for a gaming laptop, but last year in july lenovo were clearing this similar laptop for 1k +tx.

4k uhd is a nice thing, but i an not sure its usefull cause 1060 will have difficulty to render such resolution

100% agree. This is a decent deal but the other deals for similar have been $1000-$1200 and 4K UHD is great for spreadsheets or other viewing but would be weak for gaming.

I got the same model with less ram and storage and non 4k screen for $1300 with VR headset from Microsoft store. $200 for ram, $80 for the 1tb HD. The prices come pretty close.

Warning about Optimus stuttering issue in case you aren't aware.

Very tempted...kicking myself for missing the deal with the Explorer headset and this seems like a decent upgrade (minus the headset). Mainly interested in getting a VR machine...

This is indeed an option, the UHD legion was featured on Lenovo BF sale (for $1600).

Just note that the model with FHD display (and 8GB memory) was $1300 with a VR headset just couple of weeks ago.

I personally ordered the UHD over the FHD one because the FHD had very bad reviews (mind you FHD+VR set was $1700 at the time, those who did buy the FHD seem to be ok with the display though).

The main reason you get this (despite the fact that it comes with the same price tag from 6 months ago) is for the UHD screen, if its not for that and just want a VR ready laptop then I would keep an eye on the Dell (7700HQ, GTX 1060 MaxQ 6GB and 16GB RAM), it dipped down to the $1200 mark with the various discounts Dell several times since BF.

Good luck

If the screen really is UHD this is a good price. If the screen however turns out to be FHD then it's too expensive. A good deal on a similar FHD model would be between 1200 and 1300$+tx

I'm not finding a bunch of reviews for the UHD screen. The FHD is quite dim and weak.

It is the UHD screen and it has been at that price since Lenovo went OOS back in November.
Then is was at that same price again in January from TD https://forums.redflagdeals.com/tigerdi ... 9-2162556/
