Walmart Car Batteries?

Hi
anyone with experience with Walmart Energizer car battteries?
$85 with 6 yr warranty, and first 2 yr direct exchange.
Costco doesn't have my size so walmart was the other option.

There was also AC Delco from Lordco for $124. This was the same brand I had in my car and it lasted 9 yrs before it died.
It was made well 9 yrs ago, but dunno if I can expect same quality in the new breed.

Top rated batteries have been Sears Diahard Gold and Interstate Batteries according to a number of sources. Depending on the vehicle their prices are very comparable to others. My suggestion would be to get the battery with the longest warranty that is not prorated and lots of CCA. The CCA is needed when the temps drop.

Those Walmart batteries are great. I bought an Energizer for my old car and it lasted 4 years without problems, then I got rid of the car. There battery has 6 years warranty too.

Was it still in great condition after the 4 yrs when you got rid of the car?

Yes noticed that too. What is the benefit of nitrogen for the tires? does the pressure stay the same?

nitrogen doesn't degrade the rubber. as for the energizer batteries they seem to be pretty good i bought one this winter after my motomaster one froze on a cold night.
nissan motorsports is nismo...does that mean honda motorsports is homo?

They say the pressure is more likely to stay the same despite tempurature changes. Oxygen & ozone is a big rubber oxidizer. Talking to the tech, seems to indicate that some air is mixed with nitrogen... 'mixed' doesn't sound the same as filled and you'll prolly fill the tires occasionally with some air to pump up the volume.

All in all.... sounds more like marketroids have another winner.

Air is 78% Nitrogen anyway. The energy used to make it 99.9999% to fill car tires seems a waste of resources for any supposed benefits.
