Normal price is $2.27 from what I can find and it seems like at one point (200+ days ago) it was available for $1 for a limited time.
Decent deal if you use Colgate and need a new toothbrush, thanks.

Heads up, Colgate regular is ok. Stay away from Colgate Total. Throw them out if you bought Total. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-08-1 ... total.html

I ain't going to throw away all of my toothpaste. If it was really that dangerous, how come Colgate doesn't implement an exchange program.

interesting. triclosan is used in lots of antibacterial products and is likely contributing to the rise of antibiotic resistance. probably wouldn't want that stuff in my mouth.bowmah wrote: ↑Heads up, Colgate regular is ok. That said, many Crest products still have microbeads, not a good thing either:ShoNuff2 wrote: ↑interesting. triclosan is used in lots of antibacterial products and is likely contributing to the rise of antibiotic resistance. probably wouldn't want that stuff in my mouth.

Let me recap as a summary. Crest issues revolves around microbeads it looks like. The article only talks about a dental hygienist urging patients not to use toothpaste with microbeads as they saw them in the mouth during a dental visit. With Colgate Total, Triclosan is the ingredient that has serious health implications. Hope this helps.

Not suggesting necessarily that Colgate is the better choice, simply highlighting that Crest also has issues. The issues with microbeads goes beyond just what they do in your mouth, they're a serious concern now in our watersheds: http://globalnews.ca/news/1579207/micro ... eat-lakes/bowmah wrote: ↑Let me recap as a summary. Whether you throw away Colgate Total is up to you. For what it's worth, Colgate says everything is safe. The European Union has banned triclosan (2010) in materials that come into contact with food. Consumers make your own choices.
