Get the $299 Haier from Costco. Better TV and it's from Costco.

There is no 40" at Costco for $299? It's $459.

Sorry, it's a 42" and it is $299. I have one and it's well worth the money. It's $299 in store.

Sorry folks, I meant Haier, no idea why I typed Vizio. They have a 42" Haier that is $299 and is a great TV for the price.

This is similar to the Target Boxing Day special one that was under $200 all in a year and some ago. It's okay for a games machine display. I use mine solely with my Xbox One...

+1 for Costco. You get a 2 year warranty with option of 3 additional years for $30.

I agree, Costco would be a wiser choice due to their warranty.

The, "smart" features of this TV is really, "meh". You'll be able to check the weather go on Youtube and Netflix. I got mine during boxing week, and I would have returned it, but ended up getting stuck with it. Picture quality is okay for a TV in this price range and at this size. I've had Proscan and RCA TV's with better picture quality for reference.

Never hear of the brand either but yes.. 2 years would be preferable.

Insignia televisions are part of Best Buy's house brand and may come from a variety of different manufacturers. Much like house brands at the grocery store, Insignia products are the result of contract deals with manufacturers to produce cheaper products for sale under a different brand name.

Speaker power is better on Walmart and its a Smart TV. I'm not a fan of the Haier (Costco) which also isn't Smart, but having 3 months use to make up your mind if it's worth keeping, the better warranty, and the extra 2 inches (42") seems to make it the best choice IMHO.
