Siso is much better than this.
I didn't like Ihome because it makes loud annoying humming noise after fully charged. I had it attached to a desktop, so no convenient to unplug the USB every time.
Siso can be powered by USB or 4 x AAA's. If you're getting Siso, buy a longer 3.5 mm jack from dollar store.

Checked the Calgary NE Walmart and came away empty handed.. Next day was in the South so checked out the McLeod/Southland Walmart and finally found them. FYI, if you're having trouble finding them check out the computer section. Thats where these were shelved - not in the mp3 section..
Very possible they are at the NE Walmart as well - Just didn't check the computer shelves..
Was around a dozen left at the Southland/McLeod.. Most were silver with one or two black ones left..

The noise is eliminated. my Siso is powered by USB, not by battery. to my ears , I think Siso is clearer. and it's stereo. size wise, it's like the Wii remote. specs are available at hantech.ca
can't say if it's louder than 2 ihomes, but for my use Siso is better for me for the same price I paid as iHome.

I picked up one of these iHome speaker at my local Walmart but also found the Durabrand DSP-19 stereo speakers at $2! Haven't opened up the iHome one yet but I'm already impressed by its quality/price ratio. With all the compliants about the iHome, it's going back unopened. I've posted a mini review on the Durabrand here.

They say that if you live enough you hear/see everything.
I never saw Durabrand and Quality in the same sentence in a positive way... until now
Some peep's here don't understand one simple fact, the IHome is the size of a Kinder Surprise egg, you put it in your pocket and forget you actually have it with you until you need to hear some music.
This should not be used as a replacement for your desktop speakers nor compared with something twice or more their size.
IHome will instantly transform your Blackberry or Mp3 player in a decent music machine you can carry in your pants....and all this for $20.Last edited by look30; Jul 8th, 2009 at 01:44 PM.

I'm surprised to make such a statement myself but Durabrand products are mostly OEM so their quality really depend on the supplier.
I compared the sound from a pair of Xeos Microspeakers I found at Walmart today for ~$10.With smaller-looking drivers and lower price on the Durabrand, the sound from the Durabrand is still more solid and rich, even when powered by batteries.
The iHome is smaller and looks cooler, but the Durabrand ones have stereo sound and are just a bit bigger than my N95 8GB, at 1/10 of the price of the iHome. For my needs, I am very happy with the purchase.

i have the ihome stereo version and i have a weird problem:
on my gps i find the sound is less lound then when i connect it on my notebook
here the setup
on my gps: mio c520 with miopocket using nitrogen player (any player does the same thing) and a 2.5 to 3.5 mm audio adapter
on my notebook: just plugged in my headphone jack with itune
it is really louder on my notebook, im wondering if its not my gps or my 2.5 to 3.5 mm audio adapter....
