[Walmart] WALMART - Jan 2nd - 9th: Acer triple-core desktop with 20" monitor - $398

I saw a flyer while I was visiting family in Quebec for next weeks sale that shows an Acer Athlon II X3 desktop with 4GB RAM, 640GB Hard Drive and a 20" LCD for $398

Sorry I have no links as the new flyer is not posted on their site yet.

Is this their slim one? Any idea what the GPU is?

Best Buy was selling the Acer X1400 series slim desktops with 4 GB RAM, 2.9 GHz Athlon II X3, 750 GB HD and Geforce 9200 (but no monitor) for $349.

I thought it was the same one but the one at BB had the smaller monitor that you can add on for $ 89.00

As usual, the Wal-Mart ad gave no details on the system itself. I guess just keep checking to see when they post the new flyer online...

a family member was looking to get a cheap desktop and this looks pretty damn cheap, may jump on this one unless anybody knows of something better?

This is good-great price for a family computer, consider it has a 20'' monitor.
It is a slim tower, so not much or no expansion can be done. But I did install video card successfully.

Walmart was selling same spec with 3G RAM for the same price weeks ago. So now is even better.

Hmmm... That looks like it could possibly be the Acer V203 monitor. And I'd guess it could be something like the X1301-E1102 slim tower, or else maybe a machine with a custom number for Walmart.

If so, that'd be exactly what I'm looking for, with Windows 7 Home Premium, Geforce 9200 (for Blu-ray, HD H.264, and WMV acceleration), and Gigabit LAN. Probably no wireless, but that's OK for me. I hope the monitor is decent. I already have a bunch of monitors, but I want to get rid of two of them because they suck, so this would represent a good addition.

Should we looking for them tomorrow? Or just wait until Monday?

this has to be a normal price. or it's been at this $398 price point for quite awhile (1 - 2mths at least)

If it hasn't been mentioned, I believe the model is AX3400-B3802

it's YMMV .. as it's now considering old stock. I returned an AX3400-B2802 a few weeks ago and saw the 3802 sitting there. asked about it, was told "$398 on clearance"

It figures there would be a deal like this after I bought the one from Best Buy. What's Best Buy's return policy for something like this? I have opened the package to check the contents but I haven't set it up yet. I could really use the monitor.
