[Walmart] Lactantia Butter $2.88 454g (after price match with Giant Tiger)

Lactantia Butter (Salted/Unsalted) & other varieties...$2.88, when price matched with Giant Tiger, who have it on their flyer this week.. Limit 4, however, i managed to get more, as the cashier didn't bother to look at the fine print (YMMV)

Thanks. You really should have said Giant Tiger in the title, not Walmart. Or at least "PM".

FYI it's the same price at Costco for those with a membership. It dips down to this price a few times a month. $2.85 for salted, $2.95 for unsalted.

It seems kinda strange to me that salted cost less, even though they need to add salt to it. Maybe i just don't know how butter works.

How much is the price of salt ? You're getting an x amount of salt in your butter stick instead of it being all butter. If you're buying 100 sticks, you're getting probably 3-4 sticks of pure salt in weight.

So much for global butter shortage. One of the upsides to our dairy monopoly I guess.

I was at a Walmart at Scarborough Town Centre the other day and they list a bunch of stores they price match. Giant Tiger isn’t on the list.

Is this a YMMV situation?

Not all walmarts restrict the retailers for price matching. The one on Hwy 7 and Warden does as well.

Gay Lea was also at this price at No Frills. Which is better Lactantia or Gay Lea? I just picked up Gay Lea unsalted.
