Walmart: Maxell Batteries 40 pack $7.88
Just saw that Agincourt Wal-Mart (Kennedy and Sheppard) has 40 pack of Maxell Alkaline batteries for only $7.88! (Normally 9.99 or so)

Don't buy, absolute garbage...my analog clock stopped within 2 months using them LOL. I used up all 48 in 2 months. They are typical junk Walmart/Sam's often carry....consider yourself warned

Been using them for 2 years, never had a problem, they run fine... even in things that use constant power, such as kids toys... very useful and cheap for infant toys. Also use the Rayovac from Walmart, with same positive results. I like that the Maxell are packaged in 4's... I included a pack or 2 with gifts we gave at Christmas that required batteries!

Never used the Maxell's before, but I did buy a 24 pack of Ray o Vac a couple of years ago at Walmart for $3.97. They seem to work OK.
As an FYI, Costco has an internal Duracell rebate in store on right now. I just bought a 16 pack of Duracell Ultra Digital AA for $11.99 after rebate.

No bad experiences with the Maxell branded AAs ... they have been good to me.
I really like the ones that are packaged in 4xAA within the whole casing. I loved them. Very convenient and keeps them all together.
However, the last batch I bought did not have it that way so you may have to hunt them down. Well worth it, IMO._______________
