Opened the case, writing temeputure is hot!
Your hand almost can not hold it!

Same for LaCie.

Any idea?
Design problem?

It depends on how warm it is...max operating temperature is 55 degrees celcius...Ive had one running 2 years at 45C 24/7, and its still working fine...

Hi everyone,

Just went into walmart at lunch and picked up a 500gb unit (not the pro) and it scanned in as $169.93. Was the $139 price just a time limited sale or something?

When I went to the Wal Mart last week, there was a price sticker below the drives that said $139, so it looked like regular price to me. I didn't buy one though, don't *really* need it.

Just called cambridge wallmart - they are also $169 each there as well!

not looking like an everyday low price so far!
