welll i tried to get it PM ... at staples .. but the loser manager said they will will not beat it they will just match ... i tried to tell him that there is a nice big sign that says your policy is that you will beat any advertised price

all he said was no i dont have to even match it ... we don't know if walmart has it in stock, and it will take all night to find that out ... so either you take it at a matched price or dont take it at all ....

Calling head office won't do anything for a PM. If you want to PM it, then buy the product, bring it home, and open it. 2 hrs later bring it back and return it. They'll ask you why you want to return it, and tell them you saw it cheaper at Walmart. They will then tell you they have a PM policy, and they'll match it.

If they don't, then the manager has to try reselling an open product.

if your PM is legit, chances are HO will be on the customer's side.

I just bought one yesterday, it's very quiet...although that might just be because the noise from my computer is much louder. But it does seem to be very quiet. Works great.

I don't know if it's better but the warranty on the Seagate is 5 years. That's why I bought the Seagate.

Just got it price matched this morning at FS Eglinton East And Laird. Charged me 126.98 + taxes came to 144.76. Sales rep said it was below cost. Told him how Staples at Steeles and Midland just had a letter posted on the store shelf where drives would be that stated they would not price match it because Wallmart had no inventory and were selling below cost. Funny how a store has a price guarantee that flip flops on their whim. Wallmart Eglinton & Warden had two in locked cabinet this morning. Wallmart Agincourt had 6 on open shelf last night at 9:00 p.m. Fs in Markham shows stock but sales rep could not find any even in warehouse. And yes be careful because FS carries both the free agent and free agent pro. Not the same drives and different prices.

PM'd at futureshop, first wal mart location called was out of stock and the kid just asked if any others would have it, wal mart said no. I had called ahead and told him to call another closer location which did. So watch out for which location they call.

I wouldn't have bothered to PM, but I've had a $50 gift cert to FS for a long time and had nothing to do with it.

I had a PM'd at Staples at Brampton Bovaird road a week ago, the Walmart is facing the Staples. It is very convient to make a PM there.
