If this was a Dreamcast, I’d be in for 2! Just hit its 20th anniversary a few days ago.
I remember buying mine on 9/9/99

I just canceled my Amazon preorder. They said it would come after October 1st due to fact I picked free shipping. So not only do I risk shipping damage, but also have it left outside door, 2 weeks after every store will have one, but for the same price. Amazon chat guy tried to call my bluff like buy it from EB Games then. So I cancelled and then he tried to get me to preorder again, said I could get $5 promotional credit. Mine wasn't the $79.99 preorder so made no sense to keep this preorder. I'll just walk into EBGames or Walmart on the 19th and pick one up then.

Nope - reviews have been strong on this one. On par with NES mini.

I pre-ordered for $79.99 a while back. I can't wait - great game collection on it!
I love some of the Sega games, we got the NES Classic when it came out... have played it twice!
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

Naw. Unlike the Playstation Mini, this wont be garbage.
This better come with an AC adapter!

Review out today :

Got a little stiffy reading that, need to take a bathroom break now...

Everything sounds good but just wish it came with the 6 button controllers like other regions. Would come in handy with more titles when this gets hacked instead of needing to spend more to get them.

Where's the TurboGrafx 16 mini? Wait nm they released that in 1990 as TurboExpress. Even came with its own display and could play regular game cards. Always ahead of their time I see.

Ah, Bonk's Adventure. Memories.

These things will be $29.99 in no time. Mini console fatigue is in full force

I'll buy it at $29.99 for sure, like the PSone :)

I'm just going to wait until it drops in price like the PS classic. Got it for $20.
I don't think this will happen.
The ps1 re-release was doomed to fail before it was even released. Many people preordered it and then later saw the games list and cancelled it.
Many of the most memorable titles for people had licensing issues in regards to music, branding, etc. So you only got a few of the most memorable games on the new release. Then there was that whole issue with the games being Europe version and not playing as well in North America.

The only thing that might hurt this system a bit is that they released collection sets a few times over the years on different systems. But I doubt it will ever drop to the extent the psone did. This actually has hype, actually has good reviews, etc. The psone originally had hype before the games were announced. Then they had only people wanting to cancel preorders and wondering what Sony was doing choosing such a lacking game lineup. Then it had bad reviews on top of it. Sony dropped the ball.
