[Walmart USA] HOT! Samsung 55" Class 4K (2160P) Smart LED TV UN55KU6290 $299 USD (reg $1000 USD) YMMV! IN STORE ONLY!

This is a hot deal for anyone that lives close to a border city Walmart which has stock. According to a American deals forum (SD) the price just got reduced on Friday at most Walmart locations from $449 USD to $299 USD. This is an in store only deal (price on Walmart.com says $797.99 USD.

I bought one for my parents today, took the short trip to Massena NY Walmart, which still has 6 in stock according to Brickseek. The TV is stickered "made in Mexico" so no duty charges (NAFTA agreement). Just provincial taxes if you get told to go inside at the border crossing, which in my case the border officer just waived me through saying "no tax charges for you today" lol. Lucky I guess?

The best way to find out if a specific Walmart store: a) has stock b) is selling the TV for $299 (there's some Wallys selling it at $450) is to use Brickseek. Brickseek is an awesome tool to check for stock and pricing of items at Walmart USA (and some other stores). Here's the link for this TV:

https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory ... u=52859178

Just type in a ZIP code and your good to go.

Note: Massena Walmart didn't have this TV on display. I had to ask an employee in the electronics department about it and he grabbed me one from the back. So just in case you go and you don't see the tv in stock always ask if they actually have stock and if they can locate one for you.

Warranty Issues: YMMV: Warranty with Samsung looks like an issue. I called the Samsung USA warranty department and they told me: If you have any problems you actually have to bring the TV to a address in the USA and call for service. The warranty isn't valid in Canada.

Here's a Costco thread on this same TV from January:

I was tempted to drive 1h30 to get 2 of those, but I heard that brickseek takes 1day to update stock.. this deal is almost 2 days old, probably all OOS.

Many people wasted time for nothing due to brickseeks false info.

I don't want to risk it, I'll pass.

but awesome deal nonetheless!!

Yes - they will confirm they don't have it so the employee can buy it themselves : )

60 Hz panel with a crippled support for HDR.
The picture on this tv is great - I had it up until 6 months ago, and theres hardly any difference between this one and the KS8500 I own now, except probably about $1500 in price. This is an amazing deal if you can get it.

I'm back from Walmart in Massena and I can tell you that they do not have such TV in stock. OTOH, they do have about a dozen Verizon prepaid Moto E4.

Did you ask if there was stock in the back? As per my original post, Massena Walmart didn't have any on the floor/on display. Brickseek keeps on updating for this specific store, went from 7 in stock (I was #7) to showing 5 in stock currently.

If you have any reason to believe something is in stock and you can't locate it on the floor, always ask a employee. If you don't get the results you're looking for from the employee you speak with, ask a supervisor or manager.

Deals like this tend to "disappear" once discovered AKA reserved for employees, family and friends of those employees.

The electronics employee that I spoke with yesterday about this TV, confirmed they have a few of these TV's in stock but also told me "the reason this TV is so cheap is because not all of the Smart features work" I asked him for more details and he said "I don't know what specifically". I told him I'll take the risk and return it if I don't like it lol.
