Seems even lower stock than a3000. I think UPC is 013803238198 but not sure

A3000 will give better image if you can find one. This sensor is same as T2i

Saw a boxed up display model of T5 at Newmarket. There's another Rebel model there and a few zoom lenses on clearance.

Is this an upgrade from a T2i?

Not really. T5 is same as t6 without wifi. Inhav a t5i and it's better than a t6 a d t5. It's not a bad deal. If I was looking I'd buy.

Wow 1080p! Stand in line folks! This technology is so old it's not worth investing in. This is not a deal if you plan on shooting videos with it. If I were you, I'd wait for the 4K cameras to go on sale since the 5k models will be released within a few months. Don't invest in 1080p! Save your money and get something 4K! You'll thank me later I promise

I use 2 camera bodies for professional photo work, and they both don't shoot 4k. For anyone wanting a camera better than a cellphone to take photos of kids, vacation, etc, this is a hot deal. Even the used market doesn't sell this cheap.

I don't understand how your statement is relevant to anyone who is interested in purchasing this camera.

I mean. I guess you could be buying this for video... But it's primarily a camera. I understand what your getting at but for this price you can have a great camera for taking high quality pictures and I wouldn't be surprised if the 1080p video this takes is better quality than your cell phones 4k video camera (really don't know tho)

It has a resolution of 18.1 megapixels (5,184 × 3,456). 4K is 3,840 x 2,160. Shock means it takes images at a resolution higher than 4K (we are talking about a camera not a camcorder)

If you want something for videos, don't forget that cameras can record for up to 30 min (unless if you use a custom firmware which I don't think that's what the majority of people do)

Finally, the resolution isn't the most important spec of the camera, otherwise, a professional camera is the same thing as a low end one because they both record videos at 1080p.

For anyone looking for a nice entry level DSLR, you can't find a better $/quality

I bought the last one at Markville. It was a display model. Many thanks OP. Surely it's not high end, but how can you go wrong for the price? I also called the 9th/Reesor location and the guy said they had just the display model body in stock but they weren't selling the lens with it.

I didn't verify it but if IIRC the T5 and T6 have the same sensor as the T3i. In fact I don't believe there is that much difference between both cameras. So, yes, it is an upgrade to the T2i

Anyone who find this statement wrong, please correct me

Actually, nvm, I might be wrong

Epic deal if you can get your hands on one. Thanks OP

No T5s in Edmonton Walmart's even after seeing stock from other local stores.. However snagged two new box SL1s with 18-55 IS STM lens for $259. I think that's pretty hot too seeing BB has refurb for $599. Also snagged two 75-300mm lens on clearance for $107....... Thx for the heads up op.
