[Walmart] Walmart brand Moon Cakes(YMMV)

Walmart@Markville has a skid of Walmart brand moon cakes 4 in a box. double yolks for $3, Reg. $15, expiry Jan 2018. They are going fast! Skid is placed at the front door area. I m not sure if its same clearance price at other locations, so YMMV.

not really a deal... it's made in china.. the ones that are made in hong kong go for $30-50. you will know the difference between the quality of lotus paste and inferior ones.

So that makes it extra good value. Just think of unit cost per calorie. Just kidding.

Why are these deals never out in Alberta? No cheap mooncake, our own beef costs more here...

Most food costs more out here. Logistics I imagine. Takes more to move product out through the prairies. BC, ON, QC have huge shipping hubs. So more options, cheaper to move product, more competition, more presence.. lower prices.

You just got what you paid for. Has nothing to do with where it's made. $3 is definitely a good deal.

I didn't know Walmart carries moon cake, let along their own brand. I'll judge the taste when I can get one. $3 is a no brainer.

Is anybody able to provide an update as to whether there are any remaining? Any one spots these at other Walmarts?
