I don't know if this is occurring at other McDonalds. But at this one location, this has happened to me twice now during my lunch hour. A staff approaches me while I'm eating to ask me to complete a survey. I respond to them that I'm eating and I'm on my lunch, and they still persist. I literally have spell out the word NO.
I'm going to bring this up on McDonalds Facebook page to have this store stop this practice.
Hi,
The best way to complain is to go onto McDonalds Canada website & submit a survey with the information from your receipt. That way corporate knows what restaurant you were at.

For corporate owned restaurants you can contact mickeyD's over the fone ( listed on web site). For franchisee outlets you have to contact store owner/manager. MickyD can tell whether the restaurant is corporate owned or franchisee from restaurant # listed on receipt. Basically if its franchised owned your SOOL as the owner can set the rules. Point blank.

I went to a McDonald's in Chateauguay, and they messed up my order yet again. It had been months since I last ate there and I could not believe it when I got home. I had ordered a double cheeseburger with no pickles but I got a McDouble with no pickles (good), no onions, no mustard, only 1 slice of cheese (supposed to be 2), barely any ketchup. It was so dry. Unfortunately, I only checked if my sandwich and fries were in the bag, I did not open to see if they really made a double cheeseburger... UGH.
Once I had gone there (drive-thru) with my family just to order a coffee with 2 milk 2 sugar and of course it turned out to be 2 cream 2 sugar. At least they could not say they were not wrong on that one!

I know it's easy to forget and assume one's order is correct, but you even if your order isn't custom made, there's a good chance it'll be screwed up. Always check the order on the side of the counter. I usually avoid drive-thru because that's harder to notice.
I am pretty anal about my fries. I always check they're not dry and ensure they're topped up (they're usually not) and have them do so when they just hastily place the fries in it's container.

Holy crap I remember the daily deal of the day -- $1.69 sandwiches!!! Big Mac TUESDAYYY... My God inflation is a biatch...[H]ackerK wrote: ↑ Today I was having lunch @ McDonald's. I ordered 2 Filet-O-Fish (Fri McDeal), including tax should be $3.62. So as usual, I gave the cashier $20.02 cuz I don't want more pennies.
But then I see the cash register said change: 16.38 I thought maybe she just punched in 20 (which sometimes they do). But when I started seeing her counting me 3 pannies, I know this is wrong. I told her I gave her 20 dollar and 2 pennies. and she said no I didn't. I was surprised by her short term memory! I gave her the $20 bill and put 2 pennies on top of it. How could she said no! Meanwhile people around me give me a weird look and she make it sounds like I am trying to rip her off for just 2 pennies! Holy smoke! Then the team leader passed by and he opened up the drawer and gave me 2 cents back.
But then, the damage has done. I was in a good mood before I go in. So when I get home, and want to see if there is atleast a way I can send a e-mail to the head office to provide them some feedback. Afterall I don't really mean to get her into touble, people make mistake sometimes, esp during busy lunch hour. And all I found is this
http://www.mcdonalds.ca/en/contact.aspx
So, I decided to give Customer Relationship a call. And none of the options via voice prompt really fits what I wanted to talk about. So I waited and pressed '0'. I asked the girl if I wanted to provide feedback, if she is the right person to speak to, and she said yes. So I told her my story. At the end she said she will send a report to the store owner. I said I didn't mean to get anyone into trouble, but she said she has to submit the report. (no wonder I hear she type while I am talking)
Oh well...
For me is this is just 2 cents (in fact technically speaking they gave me back on the spot afterwards) But I know some of you may get upset by McDonald's some other ways, and if you wanted to complains, this is the # to call (during office hour)

Bumping this thread!
Last week I submitted an email to McDonalds on Bristol and Hurontario about a huge pothole by their drive thru window... And they fixed the pothole!

Chances are it was a coincidence. They already knew about it and a work order was already placed. Normally can take 1-2 weeks if not longer. Unless you got a response thanking you for bringing it to their attention from sr mgt, highly doubt it. *welp*

How McDonalds' service has gone down hill.
Back in the 80s any legitimate complaint would have resulted in a sincere apology, the employee reprimanded or fired (if at fault) and the meal being comped.
Nowadays its a "take it or leave it" attitude regarding service, mistakes in the orders all the time, long waits and the customers it seems are always wrong etc.
How the times have changed.
As for filling a complaint, besides having a direct connection to a Mcdonalds Canada executive... is it really worth filling a complaint or just a waste of time because I suspect no one there seems to care.
Score one for the generation of entitlement.

Did someone try to submit a complaint on reviews platform like Yelp, Trustpilot, Pissed Consumer etc? After a short research I have found this link: https://mcdonalds.pissedconsumer.com/review.html. There is a lot of reviews there but I don't understand if McDonalds reps actually read them. If someone in this thread has an experience of posting on such platforms, please explain how it works.

It's just a decoration lost in internet space. At quick glance it is also clearly American and not Canadian. Where is the link to a Canadian complaints site for McDonald's?ErikaB35221 wrote: ↑ Did someone try to submit a complaint on reviews platform like Yelp, Trustpilot, Pissed Consumer etc? Hi,
I've always completed the survey from the link on the back of the receipt. Some suggestions & complaints have resulted in immediate(within the month) action, other times no changes. It is what it is. McDonalds isn't any worse than any other fast food restaurant. If it bothers you this much, go find a another restaurant to patronize.

I don't know. I don't use them. That is why I ask if it makes any sense to write reviews there.playnicee1 wrote: ↑ It's just a decoration lost in internet space. At quick glance it is also clearly American and not Canadian. Where is the link to a Canadian complaints site for McDonald's?
