Want to upgrade opteron system
Hey guys, I have been out of the computer-upgrading scene for a while now and kind of need your expert opinions.
I sort of want to upgrade my components but I'm not sure how much I could get for my current setup.
I have a:
Opteron 165 cpu currently at 2.5GHz (can go higher with better cooling).
DFI Lanparty nF4 Ultra-D Motherboard
and 2gb of OCZ Platinum DDR500 ram.
How much do you guys think I could get for these components if I were to sell them now?

$120 shipped in ont, $100 pickup that is IF you have all item & boxs & its all in near mint.
DDR 500 I'd think still has alot of value still that setup for shure still is worth decent money, would make a decent box to do stuff on. Is that a agp or pci-e motherboard ??

I do have all boxes for evetrything and have the receipt for the cpu (I don't know if its over the warranty period?). The motherboard indeed is a PCI-E motherboard. In fact it has 2 slots, but SLI cannot be used (but there is some pin/bridge sort of trick to make it work IIRC). This particular motherboard was the best to overclock this chip, and the stepping of the CPU is one of the better overclockers, but I know none of that really has any meaning now since its so old anyway. Everything is mint!
Does that change the pricing much?
Also, how much is the 2gb DDR500 ram worth alone?
EDIT: Oh, and these opteron 165s are as fast as the FX-60 or faster when overclocked. Currently mine is at 2.5GHz which is almost as fast, and I've overclocked higher...but my cooling isn't the greatest.

Better overclocking parts don't really mean much on a few generation old tech imo.
With around $170, you can get a X2 7750BE, 740g board, 2gb ddr2 and have a blast overclocking from just multipliers.
