An italian falling for an italian scam. So funny.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

He's got a better chance suing the doctor who dropped him on the floor when he was born

I get what you're saying from a retail prospective. But as someone who sells textiles for a living, let me explain.

I make leather motorcycle and waxed cotton jackets for $7.50/piece, I sell them for $15/piece delivered to my customer. How is $300 for 7 a deal!? I bet the only "high end" thing about the leather jacket is label

EDIT: OMG, I just looked at the pics a poster provided of these jackets and they're terrible!!!

I mean look at this. The guy bought 7!!! pleather jackets for $300.00. That's a deal and a half, and he still thinks he got scammed.

It doesn't even say Giorgio Armani on the jacket. It says EA collection. How could you possibly believe this was Armani?

The logo is fake.
Armani either has Armani Le collezioni (not EA Collection lol) or EA (Emporio armani) or Armani Exchange (AX) or Armani Jeans or Giorgio Armani (GA). Any other variants are most likely fake
I had one of these douches come up to me last summer. When I spoke to him in italian he couldn't. When he showed me his made in china jackets I laughed. Before buying make sure to know what you are buying

Bumping this thread, as I was approached a couple hours ago during lunch on Ste. Catherine street near Westmount. Scam is still alive and well.

A guy named 'Francesco' stops me on the street on foot, shows me an Italian passport with a rental car contract and with a thick Italian accent says "Me here for the fashion show, me work with the Armani, me go back to the Italy tonight. I have a da beautiful Armani leather jacket, so many but no take back to Italy, because taxes. No allowed, you buy the one jacket and I give you 2 more free, only $200. You like?"

At this point, my ears were about to fall off and I can barely feel my toes, it was OUT-rageously cold here this morning so I told him "no, time to look a da jacket, no need me have Canada Goose jacket" so I walked off. So as I'm walking away he proceeds to curse my mother under his breath, so I responded with the very Italian 'vafanc****'.

Coles notes....

Go outside for lunch

Get stopped by thick, stocky Italian guy named Francesco, about 45-50 years old.

Shows me Italian passport and rental car contract, photo doesn't even look like him, and takes it away as my eyes shift back and forth to the photo and him.

Freezing my a** off listening to this guy, I just walk off before I lose ears and toes. Not worth it for leather Armani jacket.

Had a driver in a waiting silver rented Dodge Journey from Thrifty QC plates.

Very thick Italian accent with a bad attitude. Be careful.
