I ran my butt shakers up a little higher once and once the rumbling started, I knew it was going through cause I could hear the neighbour's dog go crazy. hahaha.

Mind you i demo iron man 2 fight sequence to a frind of mind and put everything up at 40% and as we got out to leave i saw 2 women out of their apartments looking at us and i started laughing, it was a lazy saturday around 1 pm so meh..

For subs, i bought a Submersive HP and i cant really run it past 20-30% max gain because i live in an apartment, but the quality is ridiculous. The power is as much if not more than any ported sub because of its 2400w amp, and the dual 15 inch drivers are insane.

I think if worse comes to worse, i can always add these as my fronts in the future, but we're hitting budgets right now and at this point, i just want to get things up and running. The beauty of going the Emotiva route with my subs is, i can discard them (sell or use elswhere) without having it hit the pocket books to much.
The Room is acoustically treated with Quietrock 527, Resilient Channel + Clips. In my picture all my posters and artwork is acoustically treated. Printed on fabric, mounted with Acoustic fibre board behind.
The only thing right now is maybe base traps, but again i'll get to that if and when its needed.

Where do you get your posters printed? There's a few posters I want printed and I was going to go the same route as you becase I wanted them to be acoustic treatment as well, instead of just paper in a frame. However, I'm worried about copyright issues if I just submit a huge image of a poster... Also, what fibre board are you putting behind?r1lee wrote: ↑ The Room is acoustically treated with Quietrock 527, Resilient Channel + Clips. the BEST thing is end fight with whip guy in suit, the war machine gets some heavy machine guns popping out of his knuckles and he unloads. At that moment your lungs shake so hard you're basically having to hold your breath (I wish i could set the mother to 100% on that but the building will probably collapse since its easily 30-40 yrs old lol)
I also heard war of the worlds is a good demo. Also you may be surprised but the new Star Wars discs are insane on sound quality. In fighting sequences you can hear the footstep shuffles on the far back to the right or left and you can approximate how far each one of them is individually, super super detailed. EP3 is definately a good demo disc for visuals too.
