Anyone know of a cheap and reputable watch repair store in Toronto? Every time I charge my SKX007 by shaking it, I can feel the rotor spinning off. It feels and I can hear that it's spinning much more easily than I remember. I feel like the rotor screw needs to be tightened but I'm hoping to find a cheap store considering I only bought the watch for around $150.
Sounds normal. I can hear the rotor spinning in my 007.

Download the watch check app for Android, and track your watch in several positions for a week. If you are withib +/-20secs a day, I wouldn't worry.

A nice read:

I always heard mine too but unless I'm wanting to hear it differently I can hear the rotor spinning much louder than I remember it last a month ago. It just sounds like the rotor is a little loose. The power reserve of it is not close to 44 hours as I've seen online though. It's closer to the 30 hours mark. I'll wear it again and measure its accuracy and power reserve with WatchCheck.

On the other hand, I jus bought a SRP313K2. Always wanted an Seiko Orange Monster but their prices are much higher than I'm willing spend so I settled for the Seiko Dracula.

Same price no?

http://www.longislandwatch.com/search_r ... ch=monster
Bought it from https://www.skywatches.com.sg/reviews/s ... p313k2.htm

Haven't seen a Monster in stock for under $200 USD for the last while I've been looking on and off. Plus the 313 I found was the bracelet model which I prefer. One of these days I'll buy an Orange Monster if I can find a deal.

No. I really like it. It's just so easy to swap bracelet to NATO strap. Can't say bye to it. Didn't know it was so valuable.

I have a Mako (gen 1) yellow too, and I was just told it's worth north of 400$. I bought for less than 200$ on Amazon in 2012. Just cleaned it up, and put it on a NATO:

Nice watch, the yellow pops. I like the out of the norm style watches.

Picked up a Deep Blue Master 1000 a month or so back also. Just waiting on it to arrive.

Done buying watches for 2017...at least for now.

Nomos Tagente 38 Datum
MeisterSinger No. 02 - Ivory with brown suede band
MeisterSinger Salthora Limited - http://www.meistersinger.com/news/newsd ... arent.html

The two Meistersinger watches were purchased through CanWatchCo --actually Canwatcho (Bobby), not just the site. Saved a small fortune.

For me this was great. I actually like the MeisterSinger watches for their simplicity and the fact there are uncommon. And yes, they are a niche product and I couldn't justify putting down the prices asked by AD's in Canada or elsewhere.

In the end, you have to buy what you like...not just the name (unless that is what you like). Despite trying, I cannot find a Rolex that I am remotely interested...Anyway, when it is time to make the next step up, maybe something like the Glashutte Pano in blue or a Panerai...we'll see.
