If you really want an affordable mechanical skeleton, then I'd just go for a Fossil.

Get a manual wind for a skeleton watch. An auto with the rotor blocks all the cool inner workings.

Question: Has anyone picked up a SeaDweller D-Blue recently? How long was your wait time?

Wow, gorgeous watch. Way, way out of my league unfortunately.

Saw one in St Johns 3 weeks ago but it was spoken for. I heard it was 4-6 month wait time.

4-6 is still reasonable. I am in Vancouver, I guess things are different here because I was pretty much denied. I guess next time I travel I’ll try to hunt for retailers with smaller waiting time.

Try calling ADs in smaller towns. May have better luck as the DB isn’t as popular in the professional line up.

OK, I hang out in the watch forums, but I've loved collecting watches since I was 6.

What is your current watch of affection (either you own or not), or watch of your dreams?

For you guys that think a watch that costs over $50 is a waste, stop reading here.
Love the Tech4O. I think the one I have is the Tech4O Leader model. My dream watch would be if Tech4O (weather image display), Timex Datalink, and the Casio triple sensor tough solar stainless steel band got together and did a collaberation watch.

I like the look of these Dugena, Junkers and Zeppelin watches, are there any other brands that have similar looks that I should consider?

Anyone know any good affordable mechanical watch brands? less than $500.
There's a ton of mechanical watches under 500$. What exactly are you looking for? Size. Style..?
In the Seiko family... you can go for 50$ to 7000$
I've stopped at 700$.
