In my opinion it is his best movie. I can't believe this came out 16 years ago.

hahah nice find, i actually have this on VCD..........
And Fight Back to School II and III (even though III's disc 2 is messed up and won't play)........
Now if anyone has the gambling one (I think Saint of Gamblers?)...........the one with "Yee - Mung"..............and the mole
that one was classic, I can't find that one. Apparently it is on LaserDisc..........

haha, I still remember that scene in Saint of Gamblers when he was feeding somebody's armpit with a steak because it had a mole and reminds him of Yee-Mung.

Critics commonly agree that A Chinese Odyssey (Monkey King, in 2 parts, of 1994/5) is Stephen Chow at his best.

Chinese Odyssey is good, but definately not his funniest movie. That title belongs to God of Cookery, or his General Pao movies.

That is also good. I remember watching both parts in the theater at Market Village.

I guess that's the point. His monkey king character was actually kind of "dark", a rare but nice little experiment by Chow.
