I just wanted to remind everyone to ensure that they read up on what the filing requirements are for HST, the Corporation, and the Payroll accounts.

Last week, I filed my HST, and I noticed on my Notice of Assessment that I had a $120 interest charge for failing to make the proper Instalments. Basically, my HST return last year was over $3,000, so I was supposed to know to make quarterly payments this year on my HST account. There were no notices in the mail, and the agent explained that they do not send any kind of communication letting you know what your new requirement is.
