Just wondering if any of you guys got any recommendation for a nice restaurant for dinner when I am in town. I'm open to all sorts of suggestions as I eat anything. I have used urbanspoon but I prefer to get some real feedback as to the quality of the food and service level.
Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

There is Mings at the corner of phillip/albert st. They also have an east side marios on king st. close to weber st. Burger King, harvey's, tim hortons, is on king st, just past the corner of weber/king. Mc donalds is on the corner of columbia/king. dairy queen is at university/weber. swiss chalet is just up the road on weber from dairy queen. Fast eddies was there too.
Yummy yakki, (Japanese) is at davenport/northfield.Last edited by cheapmeister; Feb 10th, 2012 at 08:40 PM.

What kind of food you looking for?
Wildcraft is pretty good with good atmosphere. Uptown 21 is a nice small, intimate experience.
If you're looking for ***, Niko Niko has the best rolls I've ever tasted and you win't find those rolls anywhere else._______________

anybody got anything good in Guelph?
my girlfriend lives there and i'm spending loads of time out there lately. tried most of the stuff downtown (salsateria for burritos, smokes for poutine, pierre's poutine, macdonnel for gyros, fuji sushi, hockey sushi) but its getting boring pretty fast. anything else in Guelph worthwhile ?_______________come troll our unofficial chatroom at #redflagdeals on EFnet

I think you will be disappointed with most of thechoices listed above as the food just does not taste that great..
I know you wrote Waterloo... but are you open to the nearby cities (Kitchener & Cambridge)?

I don't think I've tried any of the above (minus Licks). I'm a big fan of Thai food but the gf hates anything spicy so we often need to compromise. After the bars we usually just grab whatever has the shortest lineups...
We just ate at The Works last night, it's a "gourmet" burger chain from Ottawa with over 60 burgers on the menu (most of them sound highly unappealing).. Had one tonight with kraft dinner on it and and onion ring. Sounds weird but it was actually pretty good -- great milkshakes too (at a cost)

I like the Bauer Kitchen in Waterloo, midscale with an atmosphere I haven't seen in Toronto. One place I've not tried but want to is Bhima Warung. It's Indonesian food and very expensive. Walked in, looked at the menu and walked out (had more to do with lack of vegetarian options than the price) but the menu looked very good. Waiting for a special occasion and the right timing to try it.
