Buy what you're looking for from http://www.monoprice.com/ and you're good to go. It'll be 10 times cheaper than the Monster equivalent and just as good.

I'll second the above! I've purchased many cables from Monoprice and couldn't be happier with their quality and service.

I second what bisk and Vertigo said, though I'll continue with a little bit of explanation. HDMI cables transmit a digital signal. As such, though you can buy cables of better build quality, using better components and the like, there will be no difference in the quality of the picture you get. Not no noticeable quality difference, none whatsoever.

Nope, always been a standard HDMI port on the PS3. Proprietary is only for composite/S-video/component cables.

As previously mentioned, there's no real difference in the quality when it comes to HDMI. It's a digital signal, not analog.

i bought like 4 hdmi cables from monoprice, plus an HDMI switcher.
it's all great stuff.

u just need to adjust based on what "length" you require
the above is 3 ft...

before you order u should consider looking at ALL the cables you need and ordering everything all at once
u might want an optical cable as well if you're using a speaker system

PS: monster is a load of marketing and upsell.... ask any futureshop/bestbuy rep to tell you what the COST of those cables are and they'll tell you it's literally like $10 bucks.... at least the rocketfish ones are. Monoprice is great quality and they don't try and earn a 800% margin on you. These companies don't make much money selling you TV's, they upsell you to death on cables for the everyday buyer.

i probably only need 10 ft but was thinking of getting 15ft in case i ever need it a bit longer

now i know that since it's a digital signal the cable isnt as important since the quality is pretty much the same...

how bout for optical audio cables? i already have one but it is decent.... are monoprice optical cables better - good? and which of their optical cables are good.. i see different choices like PREMIUM

what is toslink and wat is mini-plug? which one is needed?

if monoprice (as many reviews have said) is about the same quality for a percentage of the price, id rather go with that
