Now I have been with them for only a week, but have already had to use their customer care twice for IBK errors on my end and DAMN they were fast. Problems were resolved quickly. Setup was fairly fast and switching websites over has been a breeze. I also registered a new website at the same time and things were all completed in a few days.

For those looking for a fast and reliable webhost this seems to be the one and much better than the dreamhost, netfirms, 1 & 1 and Canaca
of the past. I have used all of those and even got suckered into paying for the crappy service from a few and for me this beats them all out and the price

I've personally never used Web Hosting Pad but I've recommended it to a few people and they've been very satisfied with it.

The package looks great but don't be deceived by what is offered. Shared hosting providers will not let you use 12TB of bandwidth or 1200GB of disk space no matter what. Its moot to even list something like this since when you start pushing 12TB of bandwidth the requests per second will be pretty high which would eat a lot of cpu time the host would shut it down before even reaching anything this high. 99% of shared hosts advertise huge numbers so people will pick them.. honestly If it was me I would be more concerned with a host's load averages, what kind of bandwidth they offer/ peer with, where they are located and what else do they offer such as backups, etc. Shared hosting is becoming more of a "additional" service such as backups and what not and less on the bandwidth, space, etc.

Check any host out on webhostingtalk.com . These guys have some negative reviews there. They also have some positive reviews. Make sure you're informed before you buy hosting (I've hosted with some baaaaad companies along the way!)

I've got to agree on the shared hosting thing - they can put in any number they want but if you use it heavily they'll still screw you.

That being said a website for personal photographs/family ****/personal file server, they're just fine on this.

That being said I've had a cheaper deal with cirtex hosting for a while now. $25/y for hosting and $6/y for domain registration through godaddy. $75+18 = $93

I've already got a .ca domain and I know I can sign up using that, but then it seems I don't get any domains for free and I don't get my .ca renewed "for life" as it says.

So should I sign up for a new .com domain and keep my old one too?

Wow. Staying away from them. I was with IXWebhosting and they were bad as well, well not as bad as webhostingpad (as per that forum). I'm with hostgator now; yeah its pricey (~10/month for unlimited domain hosting), but my sites have never been down and their support is fast with accurate responses.

I was gonna jump on this and try it out, but I think its worth staying with hostgator in exchange for no aggravation.

Another month passed. No service, no refund and no motivation to do anything.

This company is a joke guys. Stay away.
