I like Grizzly weight lifting gloves for comfort and because I have big hands (they're the only ones that fit me right). My first pair lasted me over 10 years with heavy use.
I live in the GVR too, and I picked up a new pair a couple years ago at Popeye's at 2295 West Broadway. Price was under retail at the time, but like I said it's been a couple years.
I couldn't find any other plan around the GVR that carried the Grizzly line, but that may have changed since then.
