Weird Call.
Ok heres something you guys might help me out.
Past few weeks, there has been someone from "RGM Claims Services", calling for my dad in the mornings and my mom always says hes not home. They dont say why they're calling for. My dad doesnt drive or anything as they are an insurance company or a law firm i think.
Tonight they call and ask to speak to me, but I wasnt home. They tell my dad i was involved in an accident in August ????.....
Now i havent been in an accident or anything of that nature.
So my thing is, can people claim for accidents without a police report or anything like that ? I was thinking if i did do something wrong, the police wouldve come knocking right ?
Im kinda worried as thats just my nature.

You might have been accused of a hit and run. Or even something as simple as hitting something in a parking lot. It might be a big misunderstanding too, a screw up of the plat numbers by the other claimant, who knows.

They will need some kind of evidence. But if the person says they saw your car and plate, that would be evidence enough, unless there is contradictory evidence (the car paint is different.
But also like I said it could also just be some mix up. Until you answer you will never know.

A hit and run is criminal, an insurance company has no reason to contract you in such a case. If they were looking to launch a civil suit, a law firm would have served you a case.
