Sounds like a dead battery if you're not getting any power at all. You'll either need to jump start it (from another vehicle or CAA) or have it towed if the problem is more serious. Batteries should not die in 3 weeks of non-usage so it will be covered by warranty.Originally Posted by Dealz-4-U

Weird car issue....
Hi, My father has been away for a little over 2 weeks and his car has just been sitting there in the driveway not being used. He told me to go and just drive it around so it will stay "fresh", but when i went up to their house, the car wouldnt even start up. The keyless remote wouldnt even work... The car has not been used for like 3 weeks now... maybe the battery is dead or something?
The car is still under warranty from the dealer (05 Chevy Uplander)... Any idea how long it might take to fix it? is it an easy fix or would they need to take it in to their garage or can they fix it on the spot here?
Thanks

Check if you can trun the lights on to make sure the battery is not drained.

The battery can die if it was already weak to begin with. Just see if you can turn on the headlights or interior dome lights.
If this is the case, you'll need a jump start it or get it recharged. I'd suggest doing this soon before it becomes completely dead (i.e. cannot jump start or recharge).

Hook it up and charge the battery from another car or a booster. If not starting, rather battery or the alternator....either way, its cover from warranty since it is a 2005...
I went to a trip 2 years ago for 1.5 month and when I come back and start the car, I smell smoke from the hood ....the belt is suxked and repaired the alternator.....my trip was costy...
