Anyone could write a book about Chinese Astrology. Matching is just a matter of luck, so has nothing to do with Astrology. IMHO
Never judge a book until you've read it.
Ignorance breeds fear.

I was not. My point is not about this very book.

I was wondering, how is it viewed for an 18 year old to date a 21 year old? Is it considered common or fine? Is the age gap too much?
1. No view. Please don't kiss in public or hug it out on an escalator ride.

2. Fine. I don't know if it is common. It is hard to tell how old people are sometimes.

3. No. Even when you get older the age gap is still fine.

As long as you two spend quality time together, are honest with each other and really get to know each other, then all is good. Hopefully, the two of you are a good match. Have fun!

Anyone else go by 1/2 your age + 7 with 18 being the floor?

So 21/2 = 10.5 + 7 = 17.5 = 18.

Doesn't really make sense for younger though.
Makes more sense when:

36/2 = 18 + 7 = 25.

Simple guideline: Divide by two plus seven
That's the guide to follow. :)
