Weird parking ticket... How do I fight it? (pic)
I got a parking ticket with code #337: Unauthorized Parking on Boulevard for $50
I parked in the space to the right of the road, in the same direction as traffic:

There are no signs saying no parking/private property etc... WTF?

its a speed sign saying Max 50 km/h begins
it is not a dead end street, there were no signs what so ever

Get the prosecution to prove that the area in question is indeed a boulevard. The space in question could be vague so use this to your advantage.Hope it works!

You were not ticketed for either no parking or parking on private property without owner's consent. Just like you said, you were charged with "Unauthorized Parking on Boulevard". What's so hard to understand about that?
No signs are necessary for that offence to be enforced. The area where you parked your vehicle is a "boulevard" and you are not allowed to park there. Here is the definition from the Toronto Municipal Code Article I Section 918-1 (B)
BOULEVARD — That part of the highway that is not used, or intended to be used, for motor vehicle travel by the general public, and that is situated between the travelled portion of the roadway and the adjoining private property, excluding the sidewalk.
Here is the by-law from the Toronto Municipal Code Article II Section 918-2 (B)
No person shall park any motor vehicle on any boulevard unless parking is authorized under this chapter or under any other Municipal Code chapter or by-law except for the parking of a motor vehicle within the confines of that portion of the boulevard within a private driveway, provided that no motor vehicle may be parked in the driveway less than 0.3 metre from the back edge of the sidewalk, or where no sidewalk exists, not less than 2.0 metres from the face of the curb or edge of the roadway.
The ticket was completely legit.

No. That's absolutely a boulevard. See the legal definition I provided in my reply to the OP.

Not really but the place where you parked absolutely IS a boulevard. As far as your situation is concerned that's all that matters.

ok so how can I fight it?
I didn't know it was a boulevard, never had any paring tickets, the area was not marked... Can I get it reduced or something?
50$ is absurd it was very quiet area, I was not in anyone's way and I parked for like 30 min to pick something up

I don't give people advice on how to fight tickets. Call a lawyer or paralegal.

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Cliche, I know, but true nonetheless.

It doesn't need to be marked but seriously did you actually believe that was a legitimate parking space?

You can negotiate a reduced fine with the prosecutor in exchange for guilty plea when you go to court.

Obviously somebody had a problem because they called parking enforcement to complain.

I was wondering why that picture looked so familiar: http://maps.google.ca/?ll=43.772016,...,91.8,,0,-0.12
Chances are, OP was a student at York University. Tried to get free parking and got ticketed. I used to see cars parked there all the time and if you look on Google Maps Street View - you do see a No Parking Sign.
Not that I'm a big fan of Parking Enforcement officers, but it looks like you deserve your ticket.

There are "No Parking" signs literally EVERYWHERE around that area. Notice them posted all the way down the road, every few feet?
Only on RFD do you see posts like this... "HELP! I PARKED IN A SPOT WITH A NO PARKING SIGN BUT DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I GOT A TICKET!"
