I can do 2 baconators. Did 2 recently. 3 might be a bit much. I can physically eat it, but it's easy to get sick of it after the 2nd baconator. Would be easier to down 3 dave's doubles because of the veggies that gives it a sweeter fresher taste than the full on meat only baconator.

Went to Wendy's during lunch today and had the Baconator. Very disappointed once again that they will not discount the combo by the same margin ($3) as the sandwich. That $3 saving on the Baconator really becomes a $1 saving once you pay full price for a small drink and large fries... a common order I would venture to guess. BTW, my first Baconator and I quite enjoyed it but would never pay the full regular price of $8.

Washing it down with a liter of lard glug may have also contributed...redflagdealsguy wrote: ↑ This is the burden of carbs, folks.
A keto hungry-man would stride confidently after 3 burgers, right up to his first coronary bypass. Like a real man.

1/4 lb of beef is around 123grams of beef. 1/2 lb, let's say it's around 250grams. You can get that for about $1.40 in Walmart. Bacon is about $1.20. Burger Buns is about 0.50. Cheese slice is 0.30. Total price to make at home is about $3.40.
You can definitely make it cheaper if you shop around for cheaper ingredients, I just took these prices from Walmart.

Bought 2 Baconators on the way home, took the buns off and wrapped the meats with a buncha green leaf lettuce I had in the cripser. Feelin good!

Here.
No bun. Lettuce wrap.
Add onion. Extra tomato. Extra lettuce.
Also Kirkland water...that was refilled from work

A whole $1.30 at best savings.
Add in the 20 minute prep and cook time, 10 minutes of cleaning after.... All of a sudden you've got 1/2 hour of work for 130 cents of savings. I don't know about you, but my time is worth more than $2.60/hr

I get both of ya!telepathy wrote: ↑ It's kind of a poor way to put it. I like meat as much as the next guy, veggies just make it go down better/easier imo and it isn't just a literal ball of meat.
Compared to say a bbq at home where you control what you're using and eating more or less, you really aren't sure about all the quality of what you're buying, so the vegetables are just hedging against poor quality bun/meat. On the other hand, asking for vegetables, assuming they're free, is essentially getting more for what you paid for which fits the spirit of RFD.
Just my opinion
Meat is great. I love double burgers with bacon and cheese.
But the combo of lettuce & tomato just completes it.
