I actually saw this when traveling abroad, but two filets kinda ruins the balance of the burger.

Tried the Wendy's fish... it's not bad for fast food. It doesn't even come close to fish on a bun from a decent fish&chip place IMO, but it's very decent for what it is. The crust is pretty crispy!

I got one today, it's soo good! I let my sister have some and she loved it. And it has a full slice of cheese. I still haven't forgiven McDonald's for the half cheese slice.

I hope they keep it around for a while, I actually like this more than the filet o fish.

On topic with the "balance" of burgers, I've had the filet-o-fish with a full slice of cheese and I personally find the sharpness of the cheese to be over-powering. There is a reason why they do it the way they do it for so many years.

However, I do understand that certain people may have different preferentials for tangy-ness given off by cheese.

3.69 for the sandwich, 5.69 for the small combo, 0.40 for cheese.
Apparently you pay $.40 extra for the cheese.

If I recall correctly from last year, it's only on the menu until Easter.

I'm pretty sure they had full slices a long time ago. I remember one day getting a filet o fish and wondering where my other half of the cheese went.

How much are they selling the fish sandwich combo at Wendy's for?

If it not too much effort, read post #20 in this thread.

Hmm, I don't remember that far back so you could(are) be(probably) right. For myself, personally, I've only ever remembered having half a slice and having a full slice wasn't as tasty.

Wendy's makes a nice fish sandwich...does anyone know why its a timed promotion and not a permanent addition to the menu....could it be tied to seasonal fish availability?

we had 2 on the weekend.

I will never eat BK fish burger

Wendy fish burger rocks, you can taste the difference.

We had it with Wendy's chili and side potato. < which can't be matched by McDonald

That would be my guess. Has to do with pricing.

I had one today and I liked it better than the Filet o' Fish.
It was not well promoted (one out of the way sign) so Wendy had to prepare it fresh for me. That was fine, I didn't mind waiting 5 minutes while 7 people behind the counter handled three other orders while I waited. However, the fries portion of the $5.69 combo also sat cooling on the tray. McD's doesn't do this.
When it arrived, the fish sandwich was hot, crispy and slightly larger than McD's. It was garnished with bland lettuce and mayo, so I added s&p.
I really enjoyed it, but next time I'd have them serve both items at once, hot out of the kitchen.
The sign said it was north Pacific cod, which could be pollack, like McD's, but not seasonal.

It really needs pepper. I always ask them to put lots on while they're making it. 2 packets is just right.
