I'm literally like 12 hours past cancellation.

I've been watching a certain route and this one actually worked out and saved me $200. Thanks, OP!
But in general I am finding WJ more expensive than AC these days. :(

I’m in the same boat as you. Booked on Monday. They said I would have to pay a penalty and then re-book. Can’t make an exception.

EDIT: The penalty is $100 + tax per transaction. I booked for a family of 4 so it was just a single transaction. The actual flight went up by $200 today but I still save about $240 after the promo (20% discount) and penalty fee.

EDIT2: No cancellations if you use the Basic fare, has to be Econo or Premium...

Not a single airline has a price match guarantee. The way prices change is an important part of how airlines turn a profit.

Not entirely true. Air Canada allows changes and cancellations within 24 hours these days

That's not a price match, and it's only because of US laws.

They used to but got rid of it two years ago claiming that no one was using the service. Yeah right.

We got screwed pretty good the other week by Westjet using basic fares, we were a little late for a flight and they took all our money, had to pay another $900 to get to a funeral. I know it was our bad we were late, but mistakes happen and we still had 30 minutes to get through the deserted airport to the plane.

Used this coupon to save $50 on a flight for August. We learned our lesson, always buy one way tickets. If you miss your departing flight you also forfeit your returning flight.
