I am confused. Why wouldn't you collect twice if you use your MC/AMEX at a air miles sponsor? I use my MC at say Metro and get air miles from BMO for using the MC and Metro for buying groceries from them. I had no clue BMO stopped giving the initital first time air miles bonus. I think I got like 100 when I got my MC but that was years ago and they've made a lot of changes to the card since then.

What is the best Airmiles credit card?
The Amex with no fee seems good, it is no fee, 200 bonus airmiles on first purchase, and you can collect airmiles twice if the retailer is an airmiles sponsor.
But I don't want an Amex.
The BMO mastercard on the other hand also has no fee and it's a mastercard, but there are no bonus airmiles for first purchase, and it doesn't mention if you can collect airmiles twice by showing your regular airmiles collector card? (anyone know if you can??)

So is there a good offer now for an airmiles credit card that has no fee, mastercard, bonus on first purchase, and collect twice at an airmiles sponsor?_______________

I have the BMO MasterCard and I'm quite pleased with it. I can simply earn reward miles wherever I shop and go.
If you want to collect Air Miles twice with the credit card and your Air Miles reward card, you can do that - but in order to earn double, you have to visit an Air Miles sponsor. Examples include Shell, Metro/A&P, The Shoe Company, Rexall Pharma Plus, etc.
As far as I know, BMO offers a Gold Air Miles MasterCard. The perks is that you earn miles faster for 1 Air Mile per 15$ spent. The negative side to that - a 99$ annual fee.
Here's some information about the BMO gold Air Miles MasterCard: http://www4.bmo.com/creditcards/prod...847534,00.html
hope this helps.
If Air Miles is not your type, there's always the cashback credit cards. While BMO has a cashback option for it's MasterCard, many people opt in for the MBNA SmartCash MasterCard. Earn 5% back of the purchase back at grocery stores and petrol (gas) stations for the first 6 months and 3% after that.
you can use that card everywhere you shop, but you get only 1% back. Here's some information for you to see: http://mbna.ca/smartcash_cardList.html
As the old saying goes, "do you homework"._______________
