Does anyone know what is currently the best reward credit card???

IMO, It'd be the PC mastercard.

You earn points every time you spend.

You can use the points you collected to use at Petro Canada and minimize, even get free gas seeming as the gas prices now a days are high.
You can also use the points at No Frills and Loblaws to get free groceries.

for cashback, it's the amex gold 2%.

for travel rewards, afaik its the mbna spg mastercard.

What's your criteria? What do you want out of it (i.e. rewards, cash back, flights, groceries)?

Are you loyal to specific brands (i.e. Petro Canada, Shell, Esso)

I personally use PC Financial (love Loblaws and getting groceries) and Airmiles (I only fill up with Shell, don't fly enough for Aeroplan). I tried other programs but found I couldn't collect as quickly as these two. YMMV.
