What is the Best Way to watch Game of Thrones Legally

With the Final Season of the most watched TV series of all time commin up, what is the best experience watching game of thrones by the following factors

How soon can you watch it from each episode being released
Quality of the Audio/Video
Visual Enhancements (1080p,4K,HDR)
Dependability- does it cut in/out etc
Value for money - how expensive is this option and extras included with it assuming one does not have a TV subscription and is only going to get one for watching the last season.

We are all set
We already have cable
And we have The Movie Network with HBO & Crave

IF we were to watch it LIVE when it’s aired it would be via HBO

If however we wish to just stockpile a few (which we’ve often done with Game of Thrones) so as to have a bit of a viewing marathon... then it would be via HBO / Crave & Rogers on Demand

Honestly, haven’t decided how we will attack these last remaining episodes
Will the temptation to watch them as they are broadcast be too much ?
Will the world be abuzz with GOT chatter
Will the risk of spoilers far outweigh the pleasure of a back to back episodes movie marathon

I enjoy the show but it is nowhere near the most watched TV series of all time.

If memory serves...
With Rogers on Demand and the HBO / Movie Network Pkg
HBO Broadcast Events went directly to HBO on Demand
So there was no waiting / time lag
Rogers only picked up Crave Tv as of November 1, 2018
So AFTER Season 7 of Game of Thrones
So I haven’t used it for any other HBO “got to see” Events since November 1st

But ya, I imagine with GOT Season 8 ...
It will be as it was in the past
Available pretty much immediately
Definitely know there were a few times I missed a GOT episode in past seasons and caught it the next day on my lunch hour
And I seem to recall a few times even the same evening (early morning hours) after getting home from hockey

The show to me must be watched in 1080p and Crave on the FireTV is still in 720p so cable it is.

5th option

Starting tonight go to the Madison Pub in the Annex and for the next 6 weeks they will be airing it on every single TV set in the bar. There will be hundreds of fans packed in this free public viewing spot. I expect every Sunday to be very busy, but tonight's season premiere and the series finale (May 19) will definitely be the most crowded.

It's been almost 2 full years. Can't wait to see the show there again tonight! Smiling Face With Sunglasses

Most of these options a redundant....

TMN doesn't exist anymore....it is Crave TV now.

If you already have cable then just adding the Crave TV cable package makes sense...as you'll have it on cable as well as access to the app. If you don't have cable then just subscribe directly to Crave TV.

It's pretty much that staightforward.

The best way to watch GoT is on TV so you don't have to deal with Crave servers going down, or buffering issues. However, Crave is the cheapest option to watch GoT.

I thought the 1080p was only for viewing videos; live streaming was limited to 720p and 2.0 audio. Has that changed?
