I wear whatever looks good and is reasonably priced. I stay away from wide cut jeans and for that matter...anything exceptionally tight. I find industry and o'neil make some nice stuff...some of it, specifically industry, is trash.

What Brand and Style of Jeans Does Everyone Wear?
I went shopping for jeans on the weekend and some cost $30 while others cost over $150. There are also so many different styles. For the last few years i have been wearing wide leg jeans from Warehouse One and they cost $30. I ended up buying 2 pairs of low rise, straight leg, Lee Dungarees in 2 different washes. They were regular $50 on sale for about $35
So, what brand and style of Jeans does everyone wear and what do they cost? Is there are difference between the quality of $50 jeans and $150 jeans?Last edited by Justin; Aug 14th, 2005 at 07:50 PM.

for the most part denim is a pretty tough fabric as it is... that being said, some of the really cheap jeans (IE zellers) will probably fade easier/lose colour, especially if they're dark to begin with.

"any difference in quality between cheap and expensive"
You obviously have not taken a course in marketing. You should have gone to harvard business school. humans are social climbers and are always looking for status. simply make a brand more expensive than the others and that will confer social status on the wearer.

Agreed. that's why I like Buffalo's for comfort and style. Parasuco's are all right but WAAY too overpriced as a brand name.

It's not about expensive or not, but there are jeans that will last longer because they are made better which usually cost more. Nothing to do with social status etc. Just quality jeans.

For expensive jeans, you're paying for the exclusivity (they don't make nearly as many pairs as Levi's), for the distressing (most designer jeans are hand-distressed, which makes them one of a kind), recognizability, and despite what many people want to think, quality. Whether you feel comfortable paying that much more money to wear something many people recognize is not the issue, nor is it my concern. At the risk of sounding too gay, the cut of jeans can make you look taller, slimmer, and show off your ass. I'm not going to preach that all expensive jeans do this, because they don't, and many cheaper ones do too.
You'll usually find that many, not all higher priced jeans use higher-quality denim than the cheaper ones. Club Monaco jeans come to mind; their denim is light and flimsy and not even worth the outlet prices. You'll most definitely hear many many people arguing their $50 jeans are just as good, and I must agree to an extent, clothes are clothes. But I'm perfectly happy paying more for what I consider to be the added quality and the inherent status (however little or stupid you think this might be).
As an aside, this guy needs to learn how to shave
