What camcorder to pick? 1080p or 720p

I'm surprised you didn't bring up the Sony ones :)

I'm leaning towards Sony CX500V and Canon HF S100 now. Just need them to drop price more to the $600 level (wishful thinking for now).

Donot get the Sanyo pistol grip one, i have one and my brother in law had a HD version of it, both of them has a really tiny sensor, when you put the video onto a dvd, it looks terrible, you better off buying a P&S camera, i gaurantee you will have better video quality.

I waste myself some $ on the Sanyo. :mad:

+1 also on the same boat...lol, Its hard to decide on which one to get for the price but im leaning towards a sanyo xacti or a sony HDR-CX100.
