What can I look for authenticity in a Movado watch? Bought it and got SCAMMED!! :(
I'm looking to purchase a Movado watch. My question is, because this is used, how can I make sure it's not a replica?
And the story continues....
Edit:
I actually bought it. Went to Movado Group and guess what? It's a replica!!! Now the guy doesn't pick up his phone. What should I do? I tried calling him off different phones but nothing. I have his phone number and his name, but it doesn't seem to be in the 411.ca ontop of that he's also selling two other watches (Tags) and I'm sure those are fake too. don't quote me on this, but the glass is made out of sapphire, if you turn it around against the light, you should see a blue reflection

Maybe if you would have posted some pics or showed us the link to the watch you could have prevented this. NEVER buy an expensive watch without quality pictures and references.
When I sold my Omega Speedmaster last year, I had it serviced a week before, and the buyer called the person who serviced my watch, who was a reputable person on the forums I was selling on, to confirm it's authenticity. THat's the only way to be sure.
