What dash cam is most popular right now?

I have a G1W-C but it has a mind of its own now so I'd like to get something new.

What I do need is 1080P and good night recording, preferably support for 64GB+ memory cards as well.

2CH would be nice, but my windows on my Cherokee are either 15 or 20% and can't remember what the dealer gave me (it's either one, they were reluctant to do it but I said fine I won't buy the vehicle, so they did it anyways ;) ), would the tint affect the second camera that much? It is pretty dark...

Something affordable, I'd get the 2CH Blackvue but it's too expensive and all the crap that happened on here deterred me from going with that company.

Thanks guys

I have two blackvues for front and rear. No problems in 2+ years. Got the drg 3500 facing out back 18% tint. Only issue is at night when raining. Otherwise clear images.

I have 2 one channel blackvues. My rear tint is pretty dark so nighttime footage isn't the clearest but everything else is good.

I think G1W is still the best option among the budget cams. I have one and it's great(already paid for itself by providing evidence which otherwise would've been extremely difficult to get).
The quality is nice nice and pretty much all you need.

I think for the future, I would get something with a front and rear lens. That's the upgrade I need.

you havent given a budget so its hard to narrow down. But I would say skip the 2 channel, and just get 2 cams. Maybe something like the A118C.

The DOD LS360W and LS460W is on sale at most retailers. between 165-170 for 360w and 225-230 for 460w. I believe shop.ca has it for 165, plus you can stack a coupon (CAA) or ebates if you don't have coupon. I just got one a few weeks ago, I PM'd at BB (they had it for $280, looks like they also reduced the price down to 169 now)

I also had a G1WH that broke after only 6 months... not going the cheap route anymore... I currently have a Cobra 820C, Blackvue HD500, DOD LS360W.

Will see how these 3 hold up, in the future may get a quality 2 CH if prices come down.

I know there's some that offer recording if the car is parked, but detects some kind of motion or hit.
Does anyone have experience with any of these types of cameras?

Also, recording on the sides of the vehicle... is that a thing?

Locally, you can get the DOD LS360W (staples) or the Blackvue DR3500 FHD (bestbuy) around the $150 mark.

There are other options depending on your budget...

My G1WH only works intermittently now, and it's only been slightly over a year, I think the battery is dead

HP F500/F520g are some of the best value for money right now and proven for reliability. The F500 was on sale for $100 on Black Friday.

G1W's are cheap and perform well, but but last at most 2 years.
