what defines a mid income earner??

what's the definition of mid-income-earner? I read that phrase in the national post today. what does it mean?

50K a year??

It's kind of a vague term that means little, just like "middle class".

I suppose it's somewhere between being poor and struggling with bills, and being filthy rich. I guess $50,000 a year might be around there, but that's still not very much if you have a family and live in a large city.

A great chart from the canlearn.ca site defines low/middle income fairly well. The thresholds were developed by using statscan data per province and relative to family size...
