Are there not a few RFD'rs long CVS? "CVS Health to buy Aetna for around $69 billion" https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/03/cvs-hea ... aetna.html

Press release here
I'm long CVS. It still looks quite undervalued but 207 to buy Aetna looks quite expensive. Thats also a lot of debt that CVS is going to take on. I'm going to see how the market reacts. I may sell if CVS gets back to the mid 80s.

I think I'll buy some CJR.B on Monday.

Any preferred shares I should be looking at?
Not gonna wait till Ex-Dividend day?

I recently purchased some WBA and was considering CVS except I knew about this potential deal. Now that has cleared, CVS might drop in the coming week. I may consider going in now

Also watching NMX, been on a tear since mid June, fresh 52 week highs, purely a momentum/trend play. If it holds $2 through the open it's another one to look at, lithium play in a safe geographic area (Canada), unless you don't like the look of lithium batteries in the near term...
Bought 10,000 shares of NMX @ $2 a share.

AET is nowhere near 200 as Wall St doesn't believe deal gets approved. CVS down on the news... not a good deal for CVS, but they are in it to survive.
IMO, if it goes through, stock is dead for 12-18 months.

Disclosure: sold CVS last week.
After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: it never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!

another short setup - new ATH with just 335 contracts traded at the top (2665.25). I am taking off my hedges and keeping just shorts for now.

volatility hanging on for now (futures), even though VIX below 11. What's important is the direction from here...

utilities and tech incl semis are down.
retail, transports, financials, industrials, materials and cons disc leading

gogo tech stocks lagging: AMZN, FB, TSLA, BABA, NFLX, GOOG, NVDA, MA, V, MSFT all RED

That might be the case. In a worst case scenario, I'll hold, collect the dividend and wait.

Tech stocks again getting killed today while markets are ATH, WOW

I see many names -20% from their ATH already, on no news. Sector rotation is strong
SHOP, NVDA -5%
AMD -10% at one point

Food for thought - corporate tax rate was sold at 20% rate, if it ends up being settled at a higher rate the rotation to these value-stocks and away from tech might swap again..

It's risky as all hell - but Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shs(NYSEARCA:SOXL) would be crazy if this rotation swaps back.
