Why did you sell ATT?
Low growth stock that has just gone up quickly in last few weeks, acting more like a tech stock which it is not.

Bought LB at 55.55. I think it's over reaction but can live with the $250 annual dividends if I'm wrong.

Buy on rumours

8% drop is not justified on any kind of metric, but Mr.Market is sentimental beast. Which cold-blood investor could use...

Also bought at 55.79. Same reasoning.

I am itching to pick up some stock, but this statement in the news release worries me: "Laurentian also warned that it could uncover more problematic loans as it was yet to complete the audit."

Anyone have thoughts on Macys? Bought at $18, should I sell or wait for the holidays to be over for the next earnings report? Juicy dividends though.

DOL dropped -11% at open, despite a beat
got some at $136
now it's back to $146 now (-4%)

CHR had a crazy drop $9.5 -> $8.5 too, missed the dip and got some at $9.2 instead

I would wait. It's trading at a P/B of 1.2 which on a relative basis (i.e. compared to other second / third tier lenders) is ok but it's not a great value buy imo. I suspect the news is just the tip of the iceberg; management is also incentivized to under-report so even more may be unearthed in the coming weeks / months.

I agree, not exactly beaten down to cheap territory just yet. I'm willing to be patient for 5%+ yield.

This was exactly what I was worried about. If it's an isolated problem, why the heck do they expect to find hundreds of millions more worth of cases in their loan portfolio? It's one thing to say that they're performing an audit, but another thing to expect to find hundreds of millions more worth of irregularities. This reminds me of HCG quite a bit. In both cases, the quality of the loan portfolio was fine, by all accounts, but there's clearly something fishy going on here.

IPL hit my price target and was sold. Hopefully, it sells off again after it announces the huge investment it's been talking about in a month or two, so I can pick it up in the low 20s again.

Yep. And the way the statement is open ended makes me pretty nervous. Is the audit 5% complete? 95%?

I am keeping for now. Sold calls against stock (covered) to enhance ACB

I guess folks on Wall St realized taking profits now (and ensuring fat bonuses) vs waiting for 2018 (when main street wants to sell) will net a bit of tax savings too Smiling Face With Open Mouth
Bullish story still solid until 2605 holds. Close below with confirmation (prices staying below 2600 mark and not bouncing into 2605-2650 range) will trigger massive selling - I only hope for 10%
